Math Bowling

Math Bowling

This is a great go-to game anytime you have a few minutes to fill.  It can be played as a whole class game or with 2 or more students grouped in their seats.

Write out the numbers 1-10 in a triangular shape (like bowling pins) on the board, on paper, or on individual white boards.

Roll 3 dice.  Using the numbers on the 3 dice and the four math operations, try to come up with as many of the numbers 1-10 as you can, crossing out each number as you reach it.  If you get all 10 numbers, you have “bowled a strike”.  If not, when you think all possibilities have been exhausted with the first roll, you may roll again and try to “bowl a spare”.
