Where does the name to this site come from?
“File folder games” are simply a quick and easy way to start and end an activity relatively fast making transitions simple. My math games (especially my apps) are quick and easy to setup and play! This is why my site is called “MathFileFolderGames.com”.
My Math Mission
I'm on a mission to make math "more" fun by encouraging teachers to use math games and math apps in their classroom.
To do this I've been trying to get my printable math games and apps in to as many teachers hands as I can by doing such things as having a "Free Friday Math Game Giveaways".
And for the last two months thousands of teachers have taken advantage of this. But I want to take it a step further! I want to be able to always giveaway my math games, but that's not a financially viable option for me.
BUT in my research I came across something called "Pay What You Want" pricing model. How it works is rather than charging a set price, all I'd ask is that you pay what you can – what you think it’s worth and what you can afford.
This "Pay What You Want" idea sounds like a perfect fit for my math mission (to make math fun for as many kids as possible).
I totally understand that most teachers will initially download the games for free but I hope there's some that find enough value to pay for them (or come back and pay).
I plan on testing this method out with just my fraction games and depending how successful it is I hope to include the rest of my math games. I'll probably do a month or so trial run.
I normally sell the complete fraction game package on TeachersPayTeachers for $14 or each game individually for $3.
